McYum Domination

As I stated in my blog "Goodbye Shelia" I am not going to keep quiet on this subject. For those of you who missed "Food Inc." I have found another documentary that you can watch entitled "McLibel".

This is another small insight into what everyone needs to be aware of. We really can not continue to stick our head in the sand or just keep looking the other way, because they are literally killing us. Genetically modified (GM) or if you prefer, genetically engineered, food is taking over, our children are developing all kinds of allergies and other illnesses. We are trying to fight off super bugs that are resistant to antibiotics. Disease's like MERCER, TB is back and on the rise, not to mention all of the ecoli outbreaks. Do you ever ask why the antibiotics are not working? Well you should be, don't you think?

Do the research folks, the majority of soy produced is governed my the Monsanto Co. and they have been genetically altered to grow faster and larger and resistant to RoundUp as are so many other things that eventually become "Food". The newest addition from Monsanto is RoundUp resistant alfalfa hay to feed to the "natural" grass grazing animals. Read your labels, products like almond or soy milk will say on the package "Non genetically engineered soybeans". They pay to have chickens, pigs and cattle feed and massed produced with tons of antibiotics and growth hormones. Not to mention the conditions they are produced in, yes I said produced not raised....

McYum is obviously a play on words for McDonald's and Yum corporations who dominate and dictate so much of what we eat and through advertising subliminally steering us in herds towards them. It was so nice to see that the Yum Corp. was the main sponsor for the Kentucky Derby over the weekend splashed across the T.V. screen during every break made me sick.

The problems of heart disease, diabetes, cancers and obesity are not problems of the past, they are problems here and now and in the future. I encourage you to buy the book "Fast Food Nation" as well as set aside room in your yard to plant and garden. Get your kids involved, teach them to get excited about clean healthy food. Please make an investment in your families life.......
