Change of Tide

It seems to me that more and more women over let's say 40 years of age are now the ones that are content to be single. More and more men over 40 are now the ones wanting to be in relationships and not single. We have undergone some cosmic shift in the universe that is in effect changing the very basis of the exchange between men and women. We all remember the old joke that said for women the odds were higher to get killed by a terrorist than to get married after the age of 40, that no longer has any merit in regards to the female population. At the time, I remember how popular that phrase was by the males species and the movie industry that poked fun at women with that line and really got a kick out of it. I can only speak for myself, but at the time I found it quite annoying.

In talking with women today that are now in their 40's, we seem to be on the same page about being single as well as a host of other issues. We as women are moving into a new age and women are becoming more independent, self confident and we know what we want and don't want. I am not the only female that is comfortable being single and it seems that men these days are not. Just saying.........
